About the event
September is suicide prevention month. Interactive Advocacy CEO/Founder, Tanya Jones, invited Sequoia Carr-Brown, CEO/Founder of StRaNgE FrUiT XPrEsS, to discuss the power of "Performance Art as an expression of dealing with Trauma." Sequoia will reprise elements from her 2021 presentation to the Institute on Violence, Abuse, and Trauma on a similar topic. She will share her creative cathartic journey to healing after experiencing a racist and sexist incident in Honolulu by a Jewish physician. This is a virtual discussion.
